Julie Chesnut, RID, IIDA, LEED AP ID+C
After graduating from the University of Georgia in 1981, Julie began her career in Atlanta with Equifax Inc. in corporate real estate, facilities, and property management. In 1984, Julie accepted an interior design position with an Atlanta architectural firm and became the Director of Interiors. In 1990, along with Michael Schneider, Julie founded SWI, becoming Principal-In-Charge of Interior Design.
Throughout her professional career, her design assignments have included various renovation projects of size and scope. Some of her past project commissions include: Genuine Parts Company, Imerys USA, Meggitt Defense Systems, Restore, Amtrust, Waffle House, The Fulton County Service Center, Oak Hill Child, Adolescent and Family Development Center, Dallas Theatre, Dallas/ Paulding County Civic & Cultural Center, and Union City Community Center.
She has worked on various corporate and commercial projects as well as hospitality, theaters, churches, base building, and lobby commissions.
