College of Computing — Georgia Tech
The Lecture Hall 016 at College of Computing project was a 3,312 square-foot renovation involving an update to the existing lecture hall. The auditorium is designed for lectures, as well as student and staff events.
The design scope included audiovisual, acoustical, and lighting upgrades. Finish improvements included new carpet, fabric-covered acoustical wall, acoustical ceiling tiles, gypsum board ceiling, new fixed and movable desking.
Detailed preliminary planning involved two goals; obtain optimum line of sight with new seating and meet ADA requirements for both the lecture lectern and student seating. An existing auditorium entrance was renovated to meet ADA requirements with the addition of a new wheelchair lift.
